Saturday classes

A cycle of contemporary dance seminars, which I chose to hold on Saturday morning in Turin, when the city has quieter rhythms and you do not have to run.

The practice draws its foundations from the release technique and floor work, inspired by the art of Kandinsky, Feldenkrais, the use of the space of Cunningham and the dynamics of Trisha Brown.
We start by listening to the body on the ground and the breath, to switch to small movements and more articulated rolls.
We continue through the standing work to find a dialogue between the roundness of the body and its possible linearity, as in a painting. We take this in dynamics, letting the weight slide to the ground to go up and draw the space in different directions. We go from structured parts to improvised color spots.
We follow a score of gestures bringing attention to the qualities of the movement, how to blend the shapes making them sometimes transparent, other times more clear, crossing the space like a breath, a breeze or a wind.

From November 30 I will lead a new cycle of contemporary dance seminars, which I chose to hold on Saturday morning in Turin, when the city has quieter rhythms and you do not have to run. The classes will last 2 hours and thirty to work calmly and enter dynamics with body and mind prepared. The level is open.
